Carrie Fisher was a woman of great intellect, wit, and charm. She was also self-deprecating as hell. Carrie Fisher died Tuesday. Read the passage in question below:

please honor carrie fisher's wishes and include in her obituaries that she "drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra." ❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/Pj5sRsIvkz

Years later, Fisher thought that story would make for a “fantastic obituary,” writing in her book, “I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I wanted it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra.”
Well, Princess, your wish is our command. “You go into space and you become weightless,” Fisher recalled Lucas   saying. In her   2008 autobiographical novel,   Wishful Drinking, Fisher recounted how on the first day of filming A New Hope, director George Lucas informed her that there’s “no underwear in space.” Gold bikinis, however, are OK. The 60-year-old Star Wars actress   drowned in moonlight, strangled by her own bra.
