Watch the video for “With or Without You”: U2 previously headlined Glastonbury in 2011, but Bonnaroo would mark the band’s first-ever appearance at a North American music festival. Billboard specifically reports plans for a pair of dates at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium as well as a headlining performance   at Bonnaroo   next June. The dates themselves have yet to be announced, but sources tell   Billboard   that the band will hit US stadiums in the spring ahead of a run of European shows. Also in the video announcement,   Bono confirmed that the long-expected Songs of Innocence follow-up,   Songs of Experience,   will finally come next year. Representatives for the   Manchester, TN festival did not respond to our request for comment, but fans can expect a formal lineup announcement early next year. Today, the   band released a Christmas video message promising “big plans for” next year, including a string of “very special shows” commemorating their fifth studio album. March 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of U2’s classic LP,   The Joshua Tree,   and Bono and the boys intend   to celebrate in a big way.
